because i want to remember even the simple days

I’ve done this “day in a life” project several times now (where I have my camera readily available at every moment of the day in order to capture my children in their candid moments) but have never shared it in the past. In my mommyhood I’ve learned that some of the most cherished moments are the simple days spent at home. Yeah, we enjoy the social gatherings, fun outings, vacations etc etc as much as anyone else… but it’s really a goal of mine to teach my children how to appreciate the simple pleasures in their life and be content and happy with the mundane day-to-day happenings. So, a few days ago I recorded Westin’s day, just as is. My 3-year-old little man, enjoying a day at home with his mommy doing chores, crafting, baking (I needed all my hands for this hense the lack of photos), while his sister was at school and then dance, and his baby brother napped and played alongside him. A beautiful blessed day!

I was cleaning my archives and I found this
The beauty of looking back at photos.
It was ignored 3 months ago.
But today…
it deserves a spot all on its own.

because he got a haircut

Westin is always so willing for me to take his picture
but he loves asking “why”
“why do you want to take my picture mommy?”
so i gave him a list of answers something like this:
because you got a haircut
because you’re cute
because I love you
because I’m your mommy
because you look good in pink
because I love you
because you look like your Daddy
and here he is thinking about my answer & being a very willing subject
